Jo-Anne Callaghan

I love movement of any kind and I’m fascinated with the body and how it works, which lead me into dance performance, performing in SA, Taiwan, the USA and teaching Ballroom and Latin American.

During my dancing career, I fell in love with Pilates and became a certified Equilubruim and BASI Pilates instructor in 2003 & 2012.
In 2006, I opened my own Pilates studio, Naturally Pilates and conituned to study various movement and modalitites such as sports massage and fascia movement release helping my clients reach their full potential and balance out their bodies better.

I am also an avid cyclist, who has competed provisionally and internationally and still compete today. Due to this passion in sport, I also work with athletes in my pilates practice. Through dancing and cycling, I picked up my own injuries and chronic pain issues that some of them just never seemed to quite heal.

I have been teaching for 21 years, and found both my athletes and none athletes, where also struggling with continued injuries even though they were doing guided movement, massage or seeking help from other healthcare professionals they still seemed to have recurring injuries or pain resurfacing.

I discovered Lyno therapy, which is an holistic approach to addressing muscle imbalance, restricted mobility, and chronic pain. The gentle approach, using soft touch with breathing and active movement activating the parasympathetic nervous system facilates fascia restrictions and restores balance and functionality to one’s body.

Through this approach, I am able to help identify root causes of injury or pain and through mind-body awareness giving more long-term success.

I work with a wide range of people and would love to see you reach your potential.
