Benita Bester (formerly Kropman), the founder of the Lyno Method, qualified as a physiotherapist in South Africa in 1982. She spent the first 14 years of her career focusing on sports injuries, gaining extensive experience with athletes and active individuals. By 1996, Benita realised that traditional physiotherapy training did not provide the tools needed to address chronic pain and recurring injuries. Even though she was able to relieve symptoms quickly, in many cases the symptoms reappeared as soon as the athletes returned to intense training.
This insight marked a turning point in her career and led to the development of the Lyno Method—a system designed to uncover the root causes of persistent pain and provide effective, lasting solutions. She created the Bunkie Test and the FROM Test, assessments that reveal where clients may be storing suppressed physical or emotional trauma in their connective tissue (fascia), which can contribute to chronic symptoms in other areas of the body.
Initially, her approach relied on deep manual techniques to release fascia restrictions. Over the years, Benita has evolved her method, shifting focus toward nervous system regulation, breathwork, precise gentle movement, and body awareness—supporting lasting balance and wellbeing without the need for intense manual pressure.
Benita began teaching the Lyno Method in 2010 through practical courses in South Africa and internationally, as well as online. She currently practices from her studio at the Dao House in Jumeirah, Dubai, where she focuses on supporting women through the physical challenges of menopause.
In addition, Benita is building a community initiative called Women of Wisdom (WOW), a support circle for women to connect, share knowledge, and hear from prominent speakers, all in the serene setting of the Dao House’s traditional tea ceremonies.

Strength in connection, power in wisdom.
