Mobility Assessment
The From Test
The FROM TEST encompasses 50 different tests that evaluate the primary movements of all the major joints in the body. This examination is conducted at the start of every Lyno session and effectively guides us to the specific regions where fascial restrictions and unresolved trauma are housed within the body. We use the digital goniometer on the Lyno application to measure and all tests are done passively to focus on fascia and to exclude habitual compensation patterns.
Functional Assessment
The Bunkie Test
The BUNKIE TEST consists of 5 different tests to measure core function. We use this test specifically in cases where optimum body function is required for example with sport clients. The plank positions used in this test, points to the 4 linear lines and the results show the effect of fascia restrictions on functionality. Clients are required to hold each position for 30 seconds and we score each test as soon as we notice any compensation in form or if the client experiences any form of discomfort.

The Lyno App
Digital Scoring & Analysing Tool
The LYNO APP provides us with a digital goniometer to measure the FROM TEST and a timer to score the BUNKIE TEST. The scores are analysed with built-in algorithms and transformed into a treatment plan which guides the practitioner to the exact areas or patterns of fascia restriction. The Fascia Mobility Profile gives the client a clear indication of the extent of their immobility. The APP offers our practitioners a highly scientific and professional approach to therapy and the unidentifiable data provides an unlimited source for research.
The Technique
Facia Release
The LYNO technique employs targeted methods to address fascia restrictions caused by unresolved trauma, focusing on the parasympathetic nervous system. By utilizing light strokes over the skin or through a thin layer of clothing, accompanied by the client’s gentle breathing, focused attention, and active muscle movement in the specific area, we aim to enhance the tone of the Vagus nerve. This approach creates a pathway for the release of trapped trauma. By directing attention to these areas of trapped trauma, we guide the client through the process of self-regulation, facilitating the restoration of normal functional movement in previously limited areas.

Yellow Pages Wedges
Balancing The Body
The YELLOW PAGE WEDGE tool was originally developed in the 80’s by the late Dr Ron Holder, chiropractor and applied kinesiologist, to balance athletes who struggled with chronic injuries due to non-alignment. The method is based on the activation of the proprioceptors, the neuroceptors which informs the brain of the position of the body in relation to the centre of gravity. Fascia restrictions cause non-alignment of the body and dysfunctional movement. By using this technique, we manipulate the proprioceptors by placing thin paper wedges under specific parts of the feet to create alignment and balance. We use the technique only in the early stages of LYNO as it becomes unnecessary once the fascia restrictions disappear.
