Following the 1st and 2nd module, students are expected to perform 12 (90min) practical sessions on friends or family members, which should include the full assessment and releases. After the 3rd module, students are expected to complete 36 practical sessions in order to qualify for the certification exam. All these case study sessions are to be recorded onto the Lyno Student App and submitted before the beginning of the next module and finally before the online exam.
To become a licensed Lyno® Practitioner, you have to complete all 4 modules, (note only 3 modules on the online course) do the required practical work, and pass the theory and practical exam.
The course is open to all individuals who are working in the field of mental and physical health and wellness and who enjoys problem-solving, for example physical therapists, massage therapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, psychologists, trauma therapists, sport and exercise coaches. We advise that applicants should have at least one year experience of working with patients or clients.
The practical course consists of 4 different modules, each taught over a weekend with 4 weeks in between modules during which students are required to complete case study sessions to practice the techniques. After the 3rd module students are given 3 months to complete all the prescribed case study sessions, pass the online theory exam and the practical exam. All students will be using the Lyno Student App during the course.

The average time to complete the practical course is 6 months.

The cost for the full course, (excluding the exam) is R13200, payable in 4 instalments.
The online course consists of 3 different modules, and completely simulates the practical course. Students are given 2 months to complete Modules 1 and 2, which includes the required practical work consisting of 12 case study sessions on family and friends for each model. All the case study sessions are recorded on the Student App and need to be completed and submitted before the student gets access to the next module. The 3rd Module should take no longer than 4 months to complete and that includes the compulsory 36 case study sessions.
All 3 modules include theory and video lessons and students are invited to join regular zoom sessions to interact with other students and to ask questions.
Once the student has completed all 3 modules, they need to pass the online theory exam, to get access to the practical exam, which can be done online or face to face with a teacher.
The average time to complete the online course is 8 months.
